A Warrensburg police officer is arrested for the second time this week. Douglas Spensley is now behind bars again accused of six counts of production of child pornography, which is a Class One felony.
On Monday, he was arrested for sexual assaulting a 9-year-old girl. Spensley appeared in court for those charges Friday. Before police put him in cuffs, our reporter Vanessa Murphy tried asking Doug Spensley questions about the allegations against him as he walked into court, but his lawyer wouldn't allow it. A preliminary hearing was set for October 28th at 1:30.
As soon as Spensley was leaving court, police arrested him, again. We're working to find out why. Decatur Police say they are working on getting us those details. Spensley was arrested the first time on these charges Monday morning at his home. He paid $50,000 bail and was released from jail Thursday.
