On November 14th, from 7:00 - 11:00 a.m., a seatbellt enforcement zone operation was held. This at the intersection of Route 36 and 22nd Street, resulted in the issuance of 37 citations for seatbelt violations.

Coming up, during the last two weeks of November, DPD will be conducting at least five more traffic enforcement measures, (better known as speed traps) in order to reduce the number or motor vehicle accidents and fatalities.

This project is funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation and will coincide with the Thanksgiving Holiday. During this project DPD will have zero tolerance for all traffic related violations.
